The party is in Rockmart, GA, a historical town settled by Welsh miners in 1838 about an hour northwest of Atlanta. Rockmart was originally called “Rock Market”, because of the nearby slate deposits which the Welsh came to mine. Many of its buildings are built of slate and brick from local mines and brickyards.

Music and parades and boot-flinging, oh my!
